About George Family Farm

A 10-acre mango grove in Redland, Florida that quickly became a family jewel and has allowed
Dr. George to pass down his love for farming to his children and grandchildren.

American  Dream

Dr. Philip George grew up in India and immigrated to the United States in the 70’s to pursue the “American Dream.” He initially lived in New York, but immediately moved his entire family to the Sunshine State after a visit with friends in Florida. The warm, tropical landscape was reminiscent of his home state of Kerala, India. Florida provided Dr. George with the opportunity to pursue both his passion for medicine and his passion for gardening. Though a pediatrician by day, every other waking hour was spent cultivating jackfruit, lychee, mango, banana, papaya, star fruit, passion fruit, and guava. His love for mangoes inspired him to purchase a 10-acre mango grove in Redland, Florida. The grove quickly became a family jewel and has allowed Dr. George to pass down his love for farming to his children and grandchildren. The George Family Farm has produced local mangoes and other tropical fruit for over 20 years.
